Filling and Bonta

Content Detail

Fillers and Bonta (botulinum toxin) applications are the most preferred non-surgical methods in facial aesthetics. These procedures are used to remove wrinkles on the skin, add volume, shape facial contours and alleviate signs of aging. Both fillers and bonta applications are very popular because they are procedures that can be performed in a short time and show their effect quickly.

What is Filling and How is it Applied?

Fillers are usually hyaluronic acid-based gels that are injected under the skin to add volume, smooth wrinkles and shape facial contours. Hyaluronic acid increases the skin’s moisture retention capacity and restores volume lost during the aging process.

1. Areas of Filling Applications:

  • Lip Fillers It is used to plump thin lips and define the lip line.
  • Cheek Augmentation: Volume is added to the cheeks to give facial contours a sharper and more defined appearance.
  • Under Eye Light Filler: It is applied to lighten the pits and bruises under the eyes.
  • Nasolabial (Nose-Lip) Filler: It is used to fill the lines extending from the edge of the nose to the corner of the lips.
  • Jawline (Jawline) Filler: It is applied to clarify the jawline and achieve sharper lines.

2. How to Apply Fillers?

The filling procedure starts by applying local anesthetic cream to the application area. This minimizes the pain and discomfort that may occur during the procedure. The filler is injected under the skin with the help of fine needles or cannulas. The procedure usually takes 15-30 minutes and the person can return to daily activities immediately afterwards.

3. Effect and Permanence of Filling Applications:

The effect of filler applications is seen immediately after the procedure and lasts for an average of 6-18 months. The duration of permanence varies depending on the type of filler used, the application area and the skin structure of the person.

What is Bonta and How is it Applied?

Bonta contains a substance called “botulinum toxin” and reduces the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines by temporarily blocking muscle movements. Bonta application gives effective results, especially in areas where mimic muscles are used intensively.

1. Areas of Bonta Applications:

  • Forehead Area It is used to remove horizontal lines on the forehead.
  • Between the Eyebrows (Glabellar Area): It is applied to lighten the vertical lines (heat lines) between the two eyebrows.
  • Eye Contour (Crow’s Feet): It is preferred for the removal of fine wrinkles (crow’s feet) around the eyes.
  • Neck and Décolleté Area: Bonta can be used to reduce neck lines and tighten the décolleté area.
  • Masseter Bonta With the bonta applied to the jaw muscles, it is possible to thin facial contours and alleviate chin tightening problems.
  • Migraine Bonta It is a treatment method applied by injecting botulinum toxin (botox) into certain muscles in the head and neck region.

2. How to Apply Bonta?

Bonta application is performed by injecting minimal doses of botulinum toxin under the skin with fine needles. The procedure usually takes 10-15 minutes and is painless. Slight redness may be seen immediately after the application, but these effects disappear in a short time.

3. Effect and Persistence of Bonta:

The effect of Bonta appears 3-7 days after application and lasts for an average of 4-6 months. After this period, wrinkles and muscle movements gradually return and the procedure may need to be repeated.

Things to Consider Before and After Filling and Bonta

There are some points to be considered before and after both procedures:

  • Medication Use: It is recommended not to use blood thinners at least one week before the procedure.
  • Post Procedure: The application area should not be massaged for 24 hours and the head should be kept upright for several hours after the procedure.
  • Sun and Heat Contact: After filling and bonta applications, exposure to direct sunlight and hot baths should be avoided for the first few days.

Side Effects and Risks of Fillers and Bontan

Although both procedures are safe, some side effects and risks may occur. These include:

  • Filler Applications: Mild swelling, redness, bruising and rarely allergic reactions at the injection site.
  • Bonta Applications: Transient headache, tenderness at the injection site and rarely weakness in the surrounding muscles.B
